Huawei expands its portfolio of tablets in the Philippines with the arrival of the MatePad SE. Slotting in between the MatePad T series and the mainstream MatePad line, the MatePad aims to offer the best of both worlds while keeping a palatable price tag.

The MatePad SE borrows the chassis of the MatePad T10s, but has a slightly larger (and better) 10.4-inch IPS display. The display quality is closer to the more expensive MatePad 10.4. While it has the same set of cameras and battery capacity as the MatePad T10s, the biggest upgrade on the MatePad SE is its use of a Snapdragon 680 processor.

The popular mid-range processor is significantly better than the Kirin 710A across the board with its use of a newer 6nm process and higher CPU and GPU clock speeds. This makes the MatePad SE more capable than both the MatePad 10.4 and MatePad T10s with general productivity work.

You get HarmonyOS 3.0 out of the box, and installing the apps you need is made convenient with a more streamlined version of App Gallery and Petal Search.

The MatePad SE is priced at Php 13,999 for the 4GB/128GB WiFi+LTE variant and Php 9,999 for both the 3GB/32GB WiFi+LTE and 4GB/64GB WiFi variants. The 4GB/64GB WiFi variant will be available from February 15, while the 3GB/32GB WiFi+LTE and 4GB/128GB WiFi+LTE variants will be available from February 17.

Those buying the MatePad SE until February 28 will get an entertainment gift box, 64GB MicroSD card, Huawei Video vouchers, and 3 Months of Viu Premium with their purchase. In addition to that, those getting the WiFi+LTE variants will also get a Folio Cover as well.
