Aside from the Nova 8i, it seems that Huawei is not yet done with the Nova 8 series as it announced a new variant with the SE Life Edition. This one has a different design from the regular Nova 8 SE, vanilla Nova 8, and Nova 8i, and rocks a rather old Kirin processor.
Huawei Nova 8 SE Life Edition Specs:

- 8GB RAM
- 128GB storage
- 6.6-inch Full HD+ LCD display
- 48-megapixel f/1.9 main camera with PDAF, 2-megapixel f/2.4 depth sensor, 2-megapixel f/2.4 macro camera
- 16-megapixel f/2.0 selfie camera
- WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC
- Side-mounted fingerprint scanner
- 4000mAh battery
- 40w charging
- Android 10, EMUI 10.1
Slotting in below the Nova 8i, the Nova 8 SE Life Edition comes with a Kirin 710A processor that is paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The display is a 6.6-inch LCD panel with Full HD+ resolution, 60hz refresh rate, and a centrally-placed punch-hole for the 6-megapixel selfie snapper. Since it is an LCD panel, the fingerprint scanner is found on the side, embedded in the power button.
The Nova 8 SE Life’s rear panel has an oblong-shaped camera module housing three cameras and an LED flash. The camera setup consists of a 48-megapixel main snapper and a pair of 2-megapixel cameras–one for depth sensing, and one for macro shots.
Keeping the lights on is a 4000mAh battery with support or 40w wired charging. It comes with Android 10-based EMUI 10.1 out of the box, and there’s no word yet if it is eligible for an upgrade to HarmonyOS.
Huawei Nova 8 SE Life Price
The Nova 8 SE Life Edition is priced at CNY 1899(~Php 14.8k). While the phone is said to be available at Huawei’s online store and partner retailers, there’s no word yet if it will be available outside of China, especially since the Philippines has the Nova 8i already.
