Meet Huawei’s newest flagship smartphone

Looks like the leaks were spot on, as Huawei officially unveiled the Ascend P7 at an event earlier today. The P7 is the company’s latest flagship smartphone, and possibly its thinnest, coming in at just 6.5mm thick. The new smartphone is a major upgrade from the P6, sporting a better and slightly bigger display, better camera, faster processor and glass covered body.

Huawei’s gone with their own HiSilicon Kirin 910T processor for their new flagship, though they’ve only seen fit to equip the Ascend P7 with 2GB of RAM instead of 3GB which has been the trend for newer flagships. The entire smartphone is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, and underneath that is a unique micropattern that Huawei says was made using a seven stage treatment method. As far as battery endurance is concerned, the company is quoting 404 hours of 4G stand-by time and 14 hours of talk time.

The Ascend P7 will hit stores in Asia including the Philippines come May. The Ascend P7 has a suggested price of 449 Euros which translates to around Php 27619 without taxes or duties.
