Even trumping the Galaxy S9 Plus
If you were impressed at the DxOMark score of the Mi MIX 2S earlier, Huawei just stole the limelight from them with the P20 and P20 Pro. As presented during the press launch in Paris, the P20 posted an overall DxOMark score of 102, while the P20 Pro posted a higher overall score of 109. In fact, they are the first smartphones to exceed the 100 mark for the DxOMark overall score.
In a more detailed breakdown, DxOMark commended the P20 for its fast and accurate AF, bright and vivid colors, good bokeh effect, and wide dynamic range for all conditions.
For video, the P20 excels with its good white balance and exposure detail for all lighting conditions, along with an efficient video stabilization.
For the P20 Pro, DxOMark noted the phone’s very good detail even when zooming in, a well-controlled image and video noise, and a wide dynamic range.
The same can be said with the P20 Pro’s video performance, as it excels in autofocus and stabilization, along with an impressive preservation of detail in low light.
