Four cameras in one phone

While we’re patiently waiting for Huawei to unveil their new flagship next month, the company has been teasing another upcoming smartphone that a majority of the population will realistically be able to afford. Huawei Malaysia has started slowly posting photos with the caption #OOOO, with a possible reference to the company’s upcoming quad-camera smartphone. 

Since Huawei’s been using the #OO tag for most of the devices in their dual-camera lineup, it doesn’t take a genius to guess that the #OOOO hashtag is for their upcoming quad-camera device. The device, dubbed the Nova 2i, will fall in the mid-range category and is expected to be released in October. The phone is expected to have a 5.9-inch, 18:9 aspect ratio like the LG G6, and will carry 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. There’s a 3340mAh battery on board, as well twin cameras on the front and rear. 

The phone is also expected to launch in the Philippines and when it does, it’ll be the first phone under Huawei’s Nova line to be officially unveiled here.
