It might launch before Samsung’s own Infinity-O Galaxy phone
As brands are embracing the notch, some of them are finding ways to minimize the display cutout without resorting to sliding mechanisms. Samsung is working on a hole-in-display screen with the Galaxy A8s, and Huawei recently teased on their official Weibo account that they are working on the same concept as well.
The posts translate to “A ‘point’ surprise, see you in December”, implying that Huawei has one more surprise up its sleeves before 2018 ends. Slashleaks points to this mystery phone as the Nova 4, and the leaked photo reveals a headphone jack and a cut out on the upper left corner of the phone.
There are no details yet on this phone, but as tipster Ice Universe pointed out, Huawei is going for the offensive in beating Samsung as the first brand to launch a phone with a hole-in-display screen.
