Huawei’s newest 7-inch tablet sports quad-core processor from Qualcomm
Huawei has released their confusingly named MediaPad 7 Youth2, a 7-inch slate aimed at the low to mid-end of the market. Aside from having an unnecessarily ungainly name, the MediaPad 7 Youth2 sports a 7-inch, 1024 x 600 resolution TN (twisted nematic) display, 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 MSM8x12 processor and 1GB of RAM.
- 1.2Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 MSM8x12 processor
- 1GB RAM
- 4GB of internal storage, expandable up to 32GB via microSD
- 7-inch TN display, 1024 x 600 pixels
- 3-megapixel main camera
- VGA front camera
- GPS/A-GPS, Wi-Fi: 802.11b/g/n
- 4100mAh battery
The MediaPad 7 Youth2 also uses metallic body. Obviously the 7-inch TN display isn’t going to impress with its 169 ppi, but for most people, that’s good enough. While there’s no mention of availability and pricing as of yet, you can expect this tablet to carry budget tablet pricing.
