After unveiling its groundbreaking TruSense tech in China last August, HUAWEI confirms that the first set of smartwatches that will utilize the tech, which include the Watch GT 5, Watch Ultimate, and Watch D 2, will launch in Barcelona on September 19.
Leading the launch is the HUAWEI Watch GT 5 series, where aside from having TruSense will have a revamped design that include sharp, geometric designs made from premium materials like metallic titanium alloy and white ceramic.
An updated version of the Watch Ultimate will also join the launch, where its main highlight is its ability to track important metrics for golfing, which a growing hobby and fitness activity in the Philippines. The Watch Ultimate also gets an updated design with a new Dual-Color Bezel design to enhance its visual appeal.
Even HUAWEI’s unique blood pressure monitoring device is getting important ugprades, as the Watch D 2 is hinted to have ABPM (Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring). This means that the Watch D 2 will be a unique smartwatch that can monitor blood pressure in real-time. The original Watch D from 2021 earned an EU CE medical certification for its ability to measure blood pressure, and we expect the Watch D 2 to have the same certification as well.
Aside from new smartwatches, HUAWEI will be launching two new tablets with the MatePad Pro 12.2 and MatePad 12 X. The 2024 MatePad Pro will utilize a new Tandem OLED PaperMatte Display and an upgraded Glide Keyboard with a dedicated storage for the stylus.
