IDC analyst Jerome Domingue recently guested on a news program on Bloomberg TV where he shared insights on the latest IDC report on smartphone shipments in the region. An interesting point he made was that the Philippines was the only country in the region that had significant market share still with local brands. In other countries Chinese and Korean brands have already taken over.
