IFA 2017: Acer updates Chromebook 15 with a New Design and Better Battery

Made even more stylish and power-efficient

As a leader in producing Chromebooks, Acer has updated its Chromebook 15 line with a new aluminum design and a long-lasting battery. Thanks to its fanless design, the Chromebook 15 runs quiet and can be used for as long as 12 hours. Adding a premium feel to the Chromebook 15 is an aluminum top cover and palm rest, and is thinner and lighter compared to previous generations of the Chromebook.

Users can make the most of the Chromebook 15’s 15.6 inch Full HD IPS display (available in touch and non-touch variants) with over two million Android apps via the Google Play store. Complimenting the display are two full-sized upward-facing speakers for quality audio and a wide-angle HD webcam for crisp and clear video conferencing calls.

Options for the Chromebook include the latest dual-core Intel® Celeron® and quad-core Intel® Pentium® processors, 32 GB or 64 GB of eMMC storage, and 4 GB or 8 GB of RAM. Users would not need to worry about the dongle life, as the Chromebook 15 is equipped with two USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C ports, two USB 3.0, an HDMI port, an SDXC card reader, and a and a combo headphone/speaker jack.

Available with either a touch screen display (CB515-1HT) or non-touch display (CB515-1H), the Chromebook 15 will be available in North America in October starting at $399 (~Php 20.5k).
