Infinix Kicks off HOT 30 Series with Entry-Level 30i

With Infinix expected to unveil the HOT 30 series, the brand unveiled the first model in India with the 30i. Despite being an entry-level offering, Infinix tours a premium design on the HOT 30i, with options for either a black glass finish with a diamond pattern or a brown leather finish.

The HOT 30i comes with a 6.6-inch HD+ 90hz display that has a notch for a 5-megapixel selfie shooter. Its dual rear camera setup is a notable upgrade from the HOT 20i, as Infinix outfitted it with a 50-megapixel main camera–that we presume is the same sensor used on a number of its budget mid-range devices. Like Infinix’s other offerings, the main camera is accompanied by a depth sensor.

Another big upgrade of the HOT 30i from its predecessor is its use of a Helio G37 processor. The Helio G37 offers a better GPU and faster CPU compared to the HOT 20i’s Helio G25, along with allowing the HOT 30i to have 8GB RAM.

Other features of the HOT 30i include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 5000mAh battery with support for 10w charging, and 128GB internal storage.

Infinix said that the HOT 30i will have a launch price of Rs 8,999(~Php 6k) come April 3, and that price point is interesting IF they manage to keep it at under Php 7k for a phone that has 8GB RAM on board.
