Infinix, TECNO Pulled Off Massive Growth in the Philippines for Q4 2021

Canalys has recently revealed its report for the smartphone market in the Philippines from 2021. While realme remains on top, Transsion–the company that has brands Infinix and TECNO, has a massive annual growth for Q4 2021, where it achieved a 228% annual growth in the Philippines. This places the company in third place, overtaking OPPO and Samsung.

The meteoric growth of Infinix and TECNO in the Philippines for Q4 2021 can be credited with their phone releases during the said quarter. For Infinix, it includes the Zero X Pro, which is one of the most affordable phones to have OIS and a periscope camera, the Note 11S, and the Hot 11S.

For TECNO, that can be factored in with the feature-packed specs that the Camon 18 series have to offer with their respective price points. Aside from the Camon 18 series, TECNO followed up its streak of value-for-money phone offerings with the Spark 8P and POVA Neo.

Looking at Canalys’ report for the smartphone market in the Philippines for the whole of 2021, Xiaomi managed a 103% annual growth compared to its market share in the Philippines in 2020. This places the brand in the top 5. Xiaomi’s equally impressive performance can be credited to phones like the Redmi Note 10 series and the Xiaomi 11T series.
