We can stop guessing when the iPhone SE 2025 will launch, as Tim Cook confirmed a February 19 launch for the “newest member of the family”. While we expect it to be known as the iPhone SE 4th Generation, there’s a possibility that it might be called iPhone 16E.
From what we know, the next iPhone SE will look like an iPhone 14 save for a single rear camera and USB-C port, and will reportedly have 8GB RAM and an A18 chip. Its starting price will be at $499(~Php 29k), though it has yet to be disclosed what it will be the starting storage.
From the photos shared by X user Majin Bu, the 2025 iPhone SE will be available in black or white and ditches the mute slider for an action button. The photos also confirm an aluminum frame and a notch that’s reminiscent of the iPhone 14. Other rumors point to a 6.1-inch 60hz OLED display, a 12-megapixel rear camera, and support for Apple Intelligence.
The last time the iPhone SE was updated was in 2022, and it was more of an incremental update that included an A15 Bionic chip and some tweaks to its camera software. Back then, 64GB was the starting storage–and we hope the 2025 iPhone SE starts with 128GB storage instead.
