Premium JBL Synchros delivers all the bass you need
Today we’ll be unboxing JBL’s Synchros S200 in-ear headphones. The JBL Synchros line of in-ear headphones aim to deliver the best sound quality possible in as small a package as possible. The Synchros tagline is Dare to Listen, and today, we’ll be doing just that.
The JBL Synchros S200 comes in an almost plain white packaging which surrounds a red box with the words “Premium in-ear listening 2.0”, confirming that you have indeed bought a pricey set of headphones.
Opening the box reveals the headphones itself.
Along with the package, you’re getting two sets of headphone tips, with one pair in a specially sealed package that promises maximum fit and noise isolation. JBL has also thoughtfully included a leather pouch to put everything in, as well as a user manual.
The JBL Synchros S200 is constructed out of die-cast aluminum, and has this nice utilitarian, almost industrial design. The Synchros S200 has a built-in mic allowing you to answer calls, but our model didn’t have in-line controls to remotely control music or change the volume. The Synchros is designed with a slight angle to the headphone tips to ensure positive fit that won’t slip out while you’re using them.
We gave the JBL Synchros S200 a quick listen and was blown away by the bass response. The bass, while heavy, didn’t overwhelm the way more expensive headphones like Beats do, thanks to the 10mm driver with their signature JBL PureBass technology. Aside from delivering head-knocking bass, the Synchros S200 also managed to deliver great sound in the highs, mids and lows. Of course, we need to spend more time with it, but from the brief time we’ve spent with the JBL Synchros S200, we think we have a winner.
That’s it for this unboxing. Keep tuned as we will post the full review of the JBL Synchros S200 soon! The JBL Synchros S200 retails for Php 6,299.
