Cable and Power Bank in One Portable Accessory

JUMP by Native Union is a very innovative and fresh take on the micro USB/Lightning cable. Unlike other cables you can actually charge your device with it EVEN IF YOU DON’T HAVE A POWER SOURCE. The combined the cable organizer mechanism with a small power bank (800mAh) which gives you around 20%-30% extra power just in case there’s no outlet nearby for you to plug it to.

This actually debuted on crowdfunding site KickStarter where it was able to raise the funds needed in just a month (impressive). It’s actually one of the rare big hits that came out from that site, hehe.

Here’s how it looks like:

There are two variants: micro USB (Android/Windows/etc.) and Lightning (iOS). There are two separate cables (cloth covered for durability) that come out of the organizer/mini-power bank that you can wrap around it and you can slot the ends in the spaces at the surface of the organizer so it’s neat and clean when not in use.

If you plug it into your laptop and you connect it to your smartphone you can simultaneously sync stuff, charge your smartphone, and charge the mini powerbank. All of that happens at the same time which is pretty cool.

We’ve been using this for the last few days and the extra 20-30% charge is just what we need to get through a long day. The battery of the LG G3 (currently our everyday driver) is strong as is so we don’t really need a huge powerbank unless we’re going to turn on data the whole day.

In short, swak na swak yung extra 20%-30%.

The only drawback of this accessory is the price. It retails for Php2,250 which is pretty pricey. If you want one you can get it already from the different branches of Digital Walker or Beyond the Box.
