Kingston Announces Next-Generation KC2500 NVMe SSD

Kingston updates its portfolio of NVMe SSDs with the next-generation KC2500 series. With a Gen 3.0 x 4 controller and 96-layer 3D TLC NAND to boot, the KC2500 can deliver up to 3500MB/s in read speeds and 2900MB/s in write speeds.

Despite using the more compact M.2 2280 form factor, the KC2500 is available with up to a 2TB variant, giving you a generous amount of storage especially if you are building a compact desktop rig. It is also secure, as the KC2500 supports AES-XTS 256-bit hardware-based encryption for end-to-end data protection.

“The compact M.2 form factor and a broad range of security and encryption options provide greater flexibility for organizations who are looking to refresh their current systems, or for the power user looking to upgrade their current system with the best that NVMe PCIe SSDs can offer,” Kingston adds.

The KC2500 is available in 250GB, 500GB, and 1TB capacities, with a 2TB version shipping soon. All variants come with a limited five-year warranty and free technical support.
