This isn’t your regular external hard drive
PC peripheral maker LaCie isn’t above making bold, artistic statements with their products, however mundane they may seem, but they may have just outdone themselves with the Sphère. Built in collaboration with artisans from French company Christofle, the Sphère is designed to make an impression wherever you put it. Underneath the silver plated steel case beats the heart of a 1 TB external HDD, and LaCie has cleverly hidden the ports for the Sphère on the back where it’s less likely to be noticed.
The Sphère uses a USB 3.0 port to transfer files speedily from its spherical realm, which also doubles as its charging port. Like with most things shiny and pretty, the Sphère isn’t cheap – expect to shell out $490 or around Php 21898 before taxes and duties for the privilege of owning one when it releases later this Q1.
