Following a global announcement last September, Lenovo has opened pre-orders for its monstrous Legion 9i gaming laptop in the Philippines. It is one of the most expensive laptops in the Philippines at Php 347,995, but those who will pre-order until November 15 will get Php 20k worth of freebies that include a Legion gaming headset, a Lenovo x Player One gaming chair, and Legion switchable keycaps.
Aside from the pre-order freebies, Lenovo also gives the best possible warranty for its flagship gaming laptop: 3 years of Legion Ultimate Support and 3-years of accidental damage protection.
What does the Legion 9i offer for the price that’s equivalent to a car downpayment? For starters, you get an incredibly powerful Core i9-13980HX processor that’s paired with a top-of-the line RTX 4090 GPU. Lenovo is using a 175W TDP version, so the Legion 9i has higher overall performance compared to the usual RTX 4090-equipped laptops in the market. The Legion 9i variant that’s coming to the Philippines is decked out with 32GB RAM and a 2TB NVMe SSD, so it can store a lot of AAA games with it.
Aside from those monstrous internals, the Legion 9i is a unique gaming laptop since it uses a liquid cooling system that’s co-engineered with Cooler Master to keep thermals cool. Lenovo claims that its solution kicks in when the GPU temps hit 84 degrees Celsius, and that its triple fan air cooling is AI-tuned to give the Legion 9i the most optimal temperatures even under heavy loads.
While the Legion 9i stands out for its Forged Carbon Design for its lid, its other main selling point is its display, where you get a 16-inch Mini LED display with a 3.2K resolution and a fast 165hz refresh rate. That beefy chassis has a good port selection that includes two Thunderbolt 4 ports, an SD 3.0 card reader, HDMI 2.1 port, and an Ethernet port.
