With Lenovo continuously expanding its smart home offerings–which include wireless audio and robotic vacuum cleaners–Lenovo is officially bringing its line of portable transportation devices to the Philippines starting with the M2 electric scooter.

Their debut scooter sports a premium look, boasting an aluminum alloy frame and an easy one-touch mechanism to fold it for transport. Powering the M2 is a 350w motor and a 7.5Ah battery, giving the M2 an estimated range of 30km on a single charge, along with a maximum speed of 25 Km/h. Topping up that battery only takes around 3-4 hours, which claims to be faster than the competition. With its motor, the M2 can handle a maximum payload of 120kg and deal with climbing angles as steep at 15 degrees.

Being a smart scooter, you get features like cruise control, LED headlight, changeable gears, and an LED display to show important info like speed, mileage, gear used, and battery capacity. The M2 also has a companion app, letting you control the scooter through your phone via Bluetooth.

As for safety and protection, the M2 comes with a triple brake and triple dampening system, along with 8.5-inch non-pneumatic tires. The triple brake system consists of an electronic brake and a disc and pedal brake, while the triple dampening system involves shock absorption in the spring, tires, and the suspension itself for a smooth ride. It also has an IP54 rating, making the M2 suitable to use on rain and dusty terrain.

The M2 has an SRP of Php 19,995 and is available for pre-order at Lenovo’s official Lazada store starting today. Those pre-ordering until March 27 will be able to get the M2 for Php 16,995 and will get freebies like a Herschel bag and Lenovo TrackPods. It will be available at official resellers and Exclusive Stores nationwide starting March 27.
