Lenovo’s Upcoming Flagship Phone Aims to Provide an All-Screen Display

With an insane 95% screen-to-body ratio

In a sea of notch-sporting smartphones, one brand wants to ditch the trend and provide nothing but a full-display experience. No, we’re not talking about the Vivo APEX; instead, it is Lenovo who is ready to take the challenge of making an all-display phone with the Z5.

While the teaser image looks promising, we’re still puzzled at how Lenovo will pull off a phone boasting of a 95% screen-to-body ratio. The Mi MIX 2/2S, which has a screen-to-body ratio of 91.3%, manages to go notch-free by placing the front camera in an awkward position.

According to Lenovo Vice President Chang Cheng, they utilized four technological breakthroughs and 18 patented technologies to make the all-display look possible. Our speculation is that they possibly found a way to place the front camera behind the display, along with utilizing an in-display fingerprint scanner.

For now, we have to wait and see how Lenovo will pull off the all-screen display.
