LG Optimus Pro and LG Optimus Net

LG Optimus Pro and LG Optimus Net

Let the Android QWERTY Invasion Begin!
Based on the recent product releases by different companies it looks like there is a big and solid market that prefers actual QWERTY keypads as opposed to the glass touch screens. Examples here would be the HTC Chacha or the Motorola Fire which are both QWERTY keypad phones with touch screens. Now LG is joining the fray with the LG Optimus Pro. The Pro has a 2.8″ touchscreen, 800MHz processor, 256 RAM, and a 3MP camera. What makes this product compelling though is the price. Apparently the suggested retail price is just at Php10,490! That’s just like Php500 more than the SMART Netphone. To “differentiate” themselves LG added two hot keys on the keypad: Email and Scheduler.

The second phone that they just launched is the LG Optimus Net. This is also powered by Android but it has a full glass touchscreen. It’s also competitively priced at Php9,990. If you’re not into the whole SmartNet thing since you’re on unlimited data then you might want to check this out as an alternative to the Smart Netphone.

Here’s a photo of both phones side-by-side:

Both phones will be available in LG Concept Stores this September (no specific date).
