Meet LG’s latest wearable
Aside from releasing two of its latest smartphones last night, LG PH also launched their latest Android Wear-powered smartwatch in the country, the G Watch R. The G Watch R is the company’s second attempt at making an Android Wear smartwatch, and it’s the first one that most fashionistas would like gracing their wrists.
The G Watch R is probably the world’s first round smartwatch, and while some commenters would probably point out that Moto 360 is the first, remember that Motorola’s offering wasn’t completely round and had a small black stripe at the bottom of the watch face.
The specs of the G Watch R are typical of what you’d expect from an Android Wear device – 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 processor, 4GB of storage, 512MB of RAM and 410mAh battery. LG PH has pegged the device at around Php 13,990, which curiously is the same price as their mid-range G3 Beat, but hey, we’re pretty sure you can’t strap the G3 Beat to your wrist (not without gratuitous amounts of duct tape anyway).
