Maimang now an Independent Brand, Announces 10 SE 5G

Maimang is among the many models Huawei has launched in the past few years. However, things have changed since the US Trade Ban. Aside from HONOR functioning as an independent brand, Maimang is also an independent brand too. It still remains to be exclusive to China, but Maimang is now a brand that is under China Telecom.

Maimang’s first offering as an independent brand is the 10 SE 5G, which is a mid-range phone that aims to take a slice of the lucrative 5G market.

Maimang 10 SE 5G Specs:

  • Snapdragon 480 processor
  • 6GB RAM
  • 128GB storage
  • 6.5-inch HD+ LCD display
  • 13-megapixel f/1.8 main camera with PDAF, 2-megapixel f/2.4 depth sensor, 2-megapixel f/2.4 macro camera
  • 8-megapixel f/2.0 selfie camera
  • 4G, 5G
  • WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC
  • Side-mounted fingerprint scanner
  • 5000mAh battery
  • 22.5w charging
  • Android 11

Powering the Maimang 10 SE 5G is a Snapdragon 480 processor that is paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The display is a familiar 6.5-inch HD+ LCD display with a 60hz refresh rate, 20:9 aspect ratio, and a dewdrop notch for the 8-megapixel selfie snapper. You get a triple rear camera setup that consists of a 13-megapixel main camera and a pair of 2-megapixel sensors.

Keeping the lights on is a 5000mAh battery with 22.5w charging–the latter being an obvious Huawei tech. Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and Android 11 out of the box.

Maimang 10 SE 5G Price

Maimang’s first phone as an independent brand is priced at CNY 1899(~Php 14.9k) and is available at JD.com. Maimang phones–even when it was still under Huawei–are always exclusive to China, though they might become available in other countries since it is now an independent brand.
