A budget flagship to cause a disruption?

Meizu strengthened its local presence when it announced that it is bringing its MEIZU 16th flagship phone to our shores. What makes their offering attractive is that for a sub-Php 25k price, you are getting a phone with a Snapdragon 845 processor, a notch-free display, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and dual 12-megapixel and 20-megapixel rear cameras with 2X optical zoom and OIS.

To make things more exciting, Meizu Philippines announced that they are making the MEIZU 16th available via Shopee and at all Meizu kiosks in SM Cyberzone nationwide. While its retail price is Php 24,999, those planning to get the MEIZU 16th via Shopee can purchase it for Php 1k cheaper at Php 23,999.

  1. I really like meizu as they were more visible here in the philippines than Xiaomi, 4 years ago.I bought their m1, since redmi phones have been given a “unicorn” status back then.(shops thought that they were imaginary, as they hold unbelievable specs to price ratio as well) and they were the only one who could match them on that level. Unfortunately, fast forward to the present, meizu is unable to play catch up to its former rival, as it try to release thier flagships about 4-5 months after.
