MSI Announces GS66 Stealth and GE66 Raider Gaming Laptops with 10th-Gen Comet Lake-H Processors, 99.9WHr Batteries

They have the biggest battery capacity in a gaming laptop

For its 2020 lineup, MSI announced two new models with the GS66 Stealth and GE66 Raider. Both come with 1oth-Gen Comet Lake-H processors, class-leading 99.9WHr batteries, and 15-inch Full HD 240Hz IPS-level displays. Design-wise, both gaming laptops have redesigned hinges, relocated speakers, SteelSeries per-key RGB keyboards with 1.5 mm key travel, and improved cooling systems.

The GS66 Stealth is geared towards professionals looking for an understated gaming laptop with its subtle design. Inside the GS66 Stealth is a Core i7-10750H paired with either an RTX 2060 or RT 2070 Max-Q discrete GPU. RAM and SSD upgrades are easy with the GS66 Stealth, as users just only need to remove the bottom plate to gain access to two NVMe SSD slots and two DDR4 RAM slots. To keep things cool, the GS66 Stealth’s Cooler Boost Trinity+ system has three fans (with 0.1mm blades) and 7 heat pipes for proper heat dissipation.

For ports, the GS66 Stealth comes with Thunderbolt 3, which supports up to a single 8K display and up to 40Gbps bandwidth. The same port also supports USB-PD, so you can juice up the GS66 Stealth using a power bank, as long as your power bank supports 65w charging output. Other features include an IR camera with support for Windows Hello, fingerprint scanner, and up to 9 hours of battery life.

Those who want to be bold can go for the GE66 Raider with its wraparound Panoramic LED lighting at the laptop’s base. Powering it is a Core i7-10750H or Core i9-10980HK processor with options for either an RTX 2070 or RTX 2070 Super GPU—both being the Max-P variety. For cooling, the GE66 Raider’s Cooler boost 5 has 2 fans(with 0.25mm blades) and 6 heat pipes taking care of thermal management.

Also geared for streamers, the GE66 Raider comes with a Full HD webcam, along with a variety of ports: 2x USB 3.2 Gen 2, 1x USB 3.2 Gen 1, 1x USB-C 3.2 Gen 2, HDMI, mini Displayport, RJ45, and SD card reader. With its class-leading 99.9WHr battery and full-sized RTX GPU, the GE66 is rated for up to 6 hours of battery life.

MSI Philippines told us that the starting price for the GS66 Stealth is at around Php 145k while the GE66 Raider will start at around Php 160k. Both gaming laptops are expected to be available by the end of Q2.
