MyPhone Infinity Official, Priced at Php 12,999

MyPhone’s octa-core smartphone is finally here!

After being leaked a few months ago and teased by the company in their Facebook account, the MyPhone Infinity is finally here. Looking at the ad for the Infinity, it looks like the company has dropped the Agua moniker and instead stuck with the name Infinity for their new octa-core smartphone, which may create a bit of confusion since one of their competitors also has an octa-core smartphone that’s also called the Infinity. Let’s take a look at the specs:

MyPhone Infinity specs

  • 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor
  • Mali 450MP GPU
  • 2GB RAM
  • 5-inch IPS full HD display, Corning Gorilla Glass 2, 1080×1920 resolution
  • 16GB internal storage, non-expandable
  • 16-megapixel main camera, with autofocus and LED flash
  • 8-megapixel front camera
  • Dual SIM, dual standby
  • 3G, HSPA+
  • Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, USB OTG
  • 2350mAh battery
  • Android 4.2 Jelly Bean

As predicted, the Infinity doesn’t have an expandable memory due to its closed back design, which subsequently also rules out users replacing their own batteries if their phones run out of juice (or if the battery bloats for some reason). As for the price, MyPhone is calling it the most affordable octa-core smartphone around, price at just Php Php 12,999, but we’re sure Cherry Mobile will have something to say about that. If you want one now for yourself, MyPhone has listed several stores that they say have it in stock, which includes their kiosk in Cash & Carry Makati, Waltermart North Edsa, Festival Alabang and Waltermart Makati.
