This Laptop is Proudly Assembled in the Philippines

Finding a laptop that has great value for money is easy nowadays, as brands are being very competitive with what they have to offer at different price points. However, what NagaTech has to offer caught our attention, with their SIPAG laptop being proudly assembled in the Philippines.

We spotted this in Facebook, and the productivity-focused laptop looks sleek considering that it is proudly assembled in the Philippines. It has looks that remind you of a gaming laptop, and looks clean with its silver colorway and NagaTech’s logo on the lid. Interestingly, the SIPAG has an all-metal build save for the bottom case.

From the product photos, the port selection includes two USB-C ports, a USB-A port, headphone jack, a full-sized HDMI port, and a ethernet connector. The specs are not that shabby either: it’s packing a Core Ultra 5 125H processor, 512GB PCIe 4.0 SSD, 16GB DDR5 RAM, and a class-leading 14-inch 120hz display with a 2880×1800 resolution and 100% sRGB gamut coverage. Completing the package is a Full HD webcam, an 80wHr battery, and 100w USB-PD charging.

Aside from those specs, NagaTech also mentioned that the SSD is upgradeable up to 2TB using 2280 NVMe drives, and the RAM is also upgradeable at up to 32GB.

NagaTech is selling the SIPAG with an introductory price of Php 39,995, which is not bad at all. From the comments section, NagaTech is doing an interest check on their first product and is looking to opening an order form for the first batch of units soon.

Aside from the SIPAG, NagaTech is teasing another model called the AHAS, which is a mid-range gaming laptop.

Assembled with any local content? Or with every part imported? If the latter, there’s very little value added. They must increase local content as high as possible, sourcing locally if not manufacturing in house altogether.

awesome!! I really dig this types of news… hopefully it’s true that it’s Filipino made.. and not a foreign brand masquerading as one, for Filipino pride points.

How much of the parts are local. We use to export a lot of electronics parts in the 90s. How about now?
