New Blackphone Promises to Put User Privacy First, Keep Prying Eyes Out

Blackphone

NSA ain’t got nothing on this

Worried that the government and other entities are tracking everything you do on your smartphone? Well, your (sometimes justified) fears are about to be over with the new Blackphone from Geeksphone. According to the Spain-based outfit, the Blackphone is the first smartphone to put privacy and control ahead of everything else, which includes your government, carriers and pesky advertisers. Geeksphone promises to outfit the Blackphone with everything you need to communicate with the people who matter while at the same time shielding you away from prying eyes. As far as the specs of the actual device goes, there’s little information available, aside from the fact that it’ll run on a custom version of Android dubbed PrivateOS and will have performance benchmarks that put it on top along with other performers made by other manufacturers.

The Blackphone will be officially unveiled during Mobile World Congress in a couple of weeks time.
