New Moto E5, E5 Plus Will Have 4000mAh Batteries According To FCC Listing

It looks to be a mid-range phone with a big battery

Motorola’s E5 and E5 Plus are looking to be the company’s budget offering, much like last year’s models. But it looks like Moto is stuffing large batteries in their affordable smartphone range if a listing from the FCC is to be believed.

Phones with the model numbers XT1922-4 and XT1922-5 on the FCC’s website indicate that the E5 and E5 Plus will be both powered by a 4000mAh cell, which should keep the phone’s lights on for at least a day of heavy use, maybe more.

Based on the leaked images and renders of the Moto E5 and E5 Plus, don’t expect a huge change in the design of the phones compared to last year’s models. While many of Moto’s phones will be getting edge-to-edge displays and 18:9 aspect ratios, the budget devices will retain the same look as the previous models.
