We get it. We know that the Nintendo Switch is arguably one of the most popular portable gaming consoles in the market right now. As we wait for the rumored Switch Pro, Nintendo chose to have KPop Girl Group TWICE to be part of its latest Switch campaign in Korea.

The endorsement is a good one: aside from giving the already hot-selling Switch a bigger audience, it is no secret that the members of TWICE do love playing Animal Crossing during their spare time.

For the first set of photos, Jihyo and Mina are busy working out while playing Ring Fit Adventure-a game that released in 2019 that utilizes the Ring-Con Pilates ring.

For the second set, Tzuyu, Dahyun, and Chaeyoung go competitive over Super Mario 3D World and Bowser’s Fury–with both games showcasing the Switch’s multiplayer capabilities.

For the third set, Sana, Jeongyeon, Momo, and Nayeon enjoy playing together with 2020 hit Animal Crossing: New Horizons by doing various activities from fishing, bug-catching, harvesting fruits, to personalizing their virtual homes.

Getting one of the biggest KPop girl groups to endorse the Switch will definitely make the portable gaming console more popular than ever while we eagerly wait for the successor of the 4-year old portable videogame console.

We still do not know what is the extent of the campaign yet (or if it will go beyond Korea), but it is possible that TWICE might shoot a series of videos featuring them playing Switch games. Better yet, Nintendo might come up with special TWICE-branded Switch consoles and accessories that are guaranteed to sell out like hotcakes.

With a big chunk of the world practically stuck at home due to the COVID pandemic, playing video games has been one of the many ways people are coping with being confined at home for safety reasons.
