‘Tis indeed, the season for smartphone rumors and leaks! A source from China has just floated more details on yet another Android-powered Nokia device in the pipeline, the P1 premium smartphone.
The new P1 leaks surfaced after the appearance of a certain Nokia D1C on Geekbench’s listings. While the D1C looks like a midranger given the scarce info gathered from the benchmarks, the upcoming P1 is speculated to be a high-end offering.

According to Chinese leakster blog Anzhuo, the Nokia P1 is currently “at the engineering prototype stage.” The report also mentions two models of varying display sizes, both with QHD AMOLED panels and IP68 dust and waterproofing certification. The latest Android version is also assumed to be packed into these Nokia phones.
Here’s what Unbox has so far on the P1, based on the recent leak and other earlier info. A purported render of the phone was leaked way back in July, so we’ll use that as the best guesstimate for the P1‘s design for now.
