Finally Happening: Nothing Teases Flagship Phone 3

Nothing has been having a great year so far: there’s a lot of positive reception for the Phone 3(a) series, and the CMF Phone 2 Pro positions itself as a potential midrange of the year candidate. What’s missing is Nothing’s main number series–and they finally confirmed it is coming soon.

The Phone 3 is a much-awaited model from Nothing, with its predecessor being almost a year old at this point. Nothing CEO Carl Pei has only mentioned a Q3 (July to September release) release so far, and rumors point to a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor and a 6.5-inch 120hz AMOLED display.

Pei said in a leaked internal email that the Phone 3 will be Nothing’s first flagship device, and that it will have a big focus on AI with “breakthrough innovations in user interface”. The latter most likely refers to the Essential Space and Essential Key–both introduced on the Phone 3(a) series. Nothing’s trademark Glyph Light interface will most likely remain, and we expect at least a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS and a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera. A 50-megapixel telephoto camera will most likely be included since the Phone 3(a) series have it as well.

Right now, it’s best to wait and see what Nothing’s cooking with their next phone–and we’re excited for it.
