NVIDIA announces SUPER Line of RTX Desktop GPUs

They are upgraded versions of last year’s RTX cards

NVIDIA announced a new line of RTX cards under the SUPER line roughly a year after unveling their realtime ray tracing-capable cards.

Comprising of the RTX SUPER 2060, the RTX SUPER 2070 and the RTX SUPER 2080, all three cards offer improved performance compared to their predecessors.

The RTX 2080 SUPER offers an increased memory speed of 15.5Gbps compared to 14Gbps with the RTX 2080. The new card claims to be faster than NVIDIA’s previous generation Titan XP cards.

The RTX 2070 SUPER claims to be 24% faster and on average 16% faster than the RTX 2070. NVIDIA also claims that it is faster than the GTX 1080Ti.

Lastly, the RTX 2060 SUPER gets more GDDR6 RAM at 8GB compared to 6GB on the RTX 2060. NVIDIA claims that the RTX 2060 is better than the GTX 1080.

The RTX 2060 SUPER is priced at $399(~Php 20.5k), while the RTX 2070 SUPER is priced at $499(~Php 25.6k). Both are available starting July 9, with the RTX 2070 SUPER replacing the RTX 2070.

The RTX 2080 SUPER, on the other hand, will replace the RTX 2080 and will retail for $699(~Php 35.8k). It will be available staring July 23.
