The third major update for OnePlus’ 2016 phones
Here’s some good news if you happen to still have a OnePlus 3 or OnePlus 3T: OnePlus announced that it is officially rolling out the official Android Pie build for both 2016 flagship phones.
Aside from the usual Android Pie features, the official build adds a new Do Not Disturb mode, support for Google Duo and Google Lens, and several bug fixes and improvements. It also comes with the April 2019 security patch, Gaming mode 3.0, and updated notifications.
Rolling out Android Pie to the OnePlus 3 and 3T is impressive, considering both phones came with Android Marshmallow out of the box. On average, flagship phones get two major Android updates at the most. Expect the update to roll out via OTA in the coming weeks.
