While the A96 became official in the Philippines in a 4G-only variant, that might change with the A97, which OPPO announced in China.
This time around, the A97 gets a Dimensity 810 processor, which is slowly becoming the go-to 5G processor for mainstream mid-range phones. It also packs a lot of RAM at 12GB, along with 256GB of internal storage. Like the A96, the A97 has a dual rear camera setup but trades the 50-megapixel main snapper for a 48-megapixel variety instead. The same goes for the selfie snapper, where the A97 uses a 12-megapixel shooter instead.
You still get the same 6.6-inch IPS display on the A97, along with a 90hz refresh rate, dewdrop notch, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Keeping the lights on is a 5000mAh battery that supports 33w wired charging.
