OPPO Debuts First Tablet with the Pad

Outside of the global launch of the Find X5 series, OPPO also announced its first-ever tablet with the OPPO Pad. While it may look like your usual tablet, the Pad has a dual-tone finish for the back panel with bold OPPO branding.

OPPO Pad Specs:

  • Snapdragon 870 processor
  • 6GB/8GB LPDDR5 RAM
  • 128GB/256GB UFS 3.1 storage
  • 11-inch LTPS display, 2560×1600 resolution, 120hz refresh rate, HDR10
  • 13-megapixel main camera
  • 8-megapixel selfie camera
  • WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1
  • Quad speakers, Dolby Atmos, Hi-Res audio
  • 8300mAh battery
  • 33w wired charging
  • Android 11, ColorOS 12

As it aims to rival the Xiaomi Pad 5, the OPPO Pad comes with a more powerful Snapdragon 870 processor but packs a smaller 8300mAh battery inside (but with the same 33w charging speeds as Xiaomi’s tablet). OPPO’s first tablet also has a 120hz 11-inch display, an 8-megapixel selfie camera, 13-megapixel main camera, and quad speakers with support for Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio.

OPPO’s tablet comes in either 6GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB storage variants, but limited to WiFi connectivity. Unlike the China-only Mi Pad 5 Pro, there is no 5G option with the OPPO Pad.

Accessories include an OPPO Pencil stylus that has 4096 levels of pressure and is priced at CNY 499(~Php 4.1k), and a keyboard case that’s priced at CNY 399(~Php 3.3k).

The OPPO’s debut tablet is priced competitively: CNY 2299(~Php 18.7k) for the 6GB/128GB model, and CNY 2999(~Php 24.4k) for the 8GB/128GB model. It will be available in China on March 3, and there’s no word if it will be made available in other countries.
