Can the Find X7 be a Flagship Camera Powerhouse?

OPPO has officially unveiled the Find X7 series in China. While the Ultra version is the more interesting model with its unconventional approach of having two periscope telephoto cameras, the standard Find X7 appears to be just as capable to be a flagship camera beast for 2024.

The Find X7’s triple rear camera setup consists of a 50-megapixel LYT-808 sensor that’s also used on the OnePlus 12 and realme GT5 Pro, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 64-megapixel OV64B telephoto camera. On paper, the Find X7 appears to have a similar camera setup to the OnePlus 12, but it remains to be seen which flagship phone between the two offers better imaging performance.

The standard Find X7 differs from the UItra version by using a Dimensity 9300 processor instead, along with a Full HD+ resolution on its curved OLED display. Save for those differences, you still get the same selfie camera and 5000mAh battery that supports 100w wired and 50w wireless charging.

Overall, the standard Find X7 does have what it takes to be a formidable flagship phone for 2024. It might have an advantage over the Ultra version as OPPO will most likely make the standard Find X7 available globally. Sales in China starts on January 21, with the Find X7 starting at CNY 3999(~Php 32k) for the 12GB/256GB variant.
