OPPO Reno10 Series Debut with Portrait Telephoto Cameras

OPPO Reno10 Series Debut with Portrait Telephoto Cameras

After multiple leaks, OPPO has officially made the Reno10 series official in China. While we didn’t get the Reno9 series, there’s a good chance that the Reno10 series might land in the Philippines–or at the very least the vanilla and Pro models. What makes the Reno10 series special is that they are a rare breed of mid-range phones that don’t have any 2-megapixel filler cameras—instead, they replace them with an actual telephoto camera.

Reno10

The vanilla Reno10 comes with a 64-megapixel main camera (presumably an OV64B sensor), an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 32-megapixel telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom—so we’re off to a good start. The processor is rather dated with the use of a Snapdragon 778G, but it is still a very capable and tried-and-tested chip nonetheless.

It’s also premium with its 6.7-inch 120hz curved AMOLED display that has a 32-megapixel selfie camera on the punch-hole. Keeping the lights on is a 4600mAh battery that supports 80w charging. You get as much as 12GB RAM and 512GB storage on the Reno10, with the 12GB/512GB variant getting you LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.

Reno10 Pro

Moving to the Reno10 Pro, you get a slightly larger 6.74-inch curved AMOLED display with OPPO’s ProXDR tech and a 1.5k resolution, and a more capable Dimensity 8200 processor that’s paired with 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. The triple rear camera setup gets an upgrade on the Pro model: aside from a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS, you also get OPPO’s MariSilicon X NPU as well. The battery is the same, but the charging speed is upgraded to 100w.

Reno10 Pro+

The top-end Reno10 Pro+ gets you a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, along with a slightly larger 4700mAh battery. Instead of a 32-megapixel telephoto camera, you get a 64-megapixel periscope camera with 3X optical zoom and Ois—the first Reno since the 10x zoom to have a periscope camera.

The OPPO Reno10 is priced at CNY 2499(~Php 19.8k) for the 8GB/128GB model, CNY 2799(~Php 22.2k) for the 12GB/256GB model, and CNY 2999(~Php 23.8k) for the 12GB/512GB model. The Reno10 Pro is priced at CNY 3499(~Php 27.7k) for the 256GB model and CNY 3899(~Php 30.9k) for the 512GB model.

The top-end Reno10 Pro+ is priced at CNY 3899(~Php 30.9k) for the 256GB model and CNY 4299(~Php 34.1k) for the 512GB model.
