The OPPO Reno12 Series Feature a Quad-Curved Display

OPPO has made the Reno12 series official in China, barely 4 months after making the Reno11 series official in the Philippines. Despite their design being more on the conservative side, OPPO made some interesting changes to the Reno12 series.

For the first time, both the standard and Pro models have a quad-curved display, utilizing a 6.7-inch OLED panel with a 120hz refresh rate and a Full HD+ resolution. The frame is now made of aluminum once again instead of plastic, and you’re getting Gorilla Glass protection in front. Aside from that, both Reno12 models get an IP65 rating.

Both Reno12 phones also feature a 5000mAh battery that support 80w charging, along with the same 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, 50-megapixel 2x telephoto camera, and 50-megapixel selfie camera with autofocus. Both versions can be configured with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB UFS 3.1 storage.

So what’s the difference between the standard Reno12 and Reno12 Pro? For the main camera, the Reno12 utilizes an LYT-600 sensor, while the Reno12 Pro uses an IMX890 instead. For the processor, the Reno12 uses a Dimensity 8250–which is essentially a refreshed version of the popular Dimensity 8200–while the Reno12 Pro uses a Dimensity 9200+. The Reno12 Pro also gets stereo speakers as well.

The pricing of the Reno12 series is as follows:
