The Reno14 Series is More of a Flagship Killer This Time

OPPO has unveiled the Reno14 series in China, and their spec sheet makes them more of a flagship killer than midrange devices.

Starting with the Reno14 Pro, its 6.83-inch 120hz AMOLED display is now flat just like every other flagship out there, and you’re getting a bigger battery at 6200mAh. Those who complained about the Reno13 Pro’s underwhelming ultrawide can rejoice, as you get a new 50-megapixel sensor with autofocus and a f/2.0 aperture.

You get the same 50-megapixel main and 50-megapixel 3.5x periscope camera like its predecessor, along with the same 50-megapixel selfie camera with autofocus. You also get support for 80w wired and 50w wireless charging, along with a metal frame, stereo speakers, and an IP69 rating. Powering the Reno14 Pro is a Dimensity 8450.

As with the Reno14, you’re getting a more compact 6.59-inch 120hz AMOLED display and the same set of cameras as its predecessor. However, OPPO is adding a 50-megapixel 3.5x periscope camera to the standard Reno14. The battery is a smidge bigger at 6000mAh and has support for 80w charging, and you have the same Dimensity 8350 processor powering it.

The Reno14 starts at CNY 2799(~Php 22k) for the 12GB/256GB variant, while the Reno14 Pro starts at CNY 3499(~Php 28k) for the same variant. The Reno series usually become official globally, though it remains to be seen if the global version will be the same as the China version.
