After going official in India last month, OPPO is bringing the F19 Pro+Â globally as the Reno5 Z 5G. While it shares a few similarities to the Reno4 Z, the Reno5 Z gets a few upgrades.
OPPO Reno5 Z 5G Specs:
- Dimensity 800U processor
- 8GB RAM
- 128GB storage
- 6.43-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display, 20:9 aspect ratio
- 48-megapixel f/1.7 main camera with PDAF, 8-megapixel f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle camera, 2-megapixel f/2.4 macro camera, 2-megapixel f/2.2 mono camera
- 16-megapixel selfie camera
- 4G, 5G
- WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, in-display fingerprint scanner, NFC
- 4310mAh battery
- 30w fast charging
- Android 11, ColorOS 11.1
Being nearly identical to the F19 Pro+ in India, the Reno5 Z is powered by a Dimensity 800U processor that is paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. It loses the fast 120hz refresh rate of the Reno4 Z and swaps it for a 60hz AMOLED panel with an in-display fingerprint scanner.
For the cameras, you are getting the same setup as with the Reno4 Z, though the 48-megapixel main rear camera has a slightly brighter f/1.7 aperture. For selfies, you are delegated to only having a single 16-megapixel snapper. For camera features, the Reno5 Z comes with OPPO’s bag of tricks like Ultra Night Video, HDR Video, Dual-View Video, Focus Lock, Dynamic Bokeh, and AI Scene Enhancement 2.0.
As for the battery, you are getting a slightly bigger 4310mAh cell but unlike the F19 Pro+, you are limited to 30w wired charging–which is not bad either. Other features include a headphone jack, NFC, and Android 11-based ColorOS 11.1 out of the box.
OPPO Reno5 Z Price
The Reno5 Z is priced at SGD 529(~Php 19.3k) in Singapore, making it slightly cheaper than the Reno4 Z at launch. There’s no word if it will be available in the Philippines, but given that the F19 and F19 Pro arrived at our shores as the A74 and A94 respectively, there’s a good chance that the Reno5 Z might arrive locally.
