OPPO says Find N5 won’t have a visible crease

One thing that we’re all used to foldable devices is the crease that’s inherent in the form factor. It doesn’t matter if it’s a fold or a flip, there’s always going to be a crease in there, no matter how faint. Well, that’s going to be a thing of the past, at least for OPPO foldables – Pete Lau SVP & CPO of OPPO and the founder of OnePlus is promising that the OPPO Find N5 won’t have a visible crease on the screen.

In a post in LinkedIn, Lau showed off the OPPO Find N5 beside what we’re guessing is a Samsung Z Fold 6. It’s very obvious that the Find N5 had no noticeable crease, while Samsung’s unit was the complete opposite. Aside from having an almost unnoticeable crease, the Find N5’s internal foldable screen looks to be bigger than Samsung’s.

Lau also underscored how thin the OPPO Find N5’s chassis is when unfolded, as well as its ingress protection. The foldable doesn’t have an official ingress protection as of yet, though from the looks of things we would be surprised if it had less than an IP58 rating when it launches.

There’s no word yet when this particular device will hit stores, but with Lau’s posts it’s obvious that the company is starting to build hype for the phone. It won’t be long now.
