To match Huawei’s GPU Turbo?
To make the most out of a phone’s internals, brands introduce various features aimed at enhancing performance for specific tasks like gaming. Huawei started the trend with GPU Turbo—their own GPU-enhancing tech that’s exclusive to their Kirin-powered phones like the Honor Play, P20 Pro, Honor Note 10, and many more.
Other brands are also looking into this approach, and OPPO is set to introduce their own tech called Hyper Boost.
The teaser poster reveals an October 11 unveiling, with the phrase “Towards an Era of Acceleration”. Not that much is revealed, though our guess is that the new tech will work with Snapdragon-equipped OPPO phones since the unveiling will be a day after the launch of the Snapdragon 660-equipped OPPO K1.
