OPPO Unveils Entry-Level A76 in Malaysia

OPPO announced a new entry-level A-series phone in Malaysia with the A76. Contrary to its naming convention, the A76 is not a direct upgrade to last year’s A74 4G.

OPPO A76 Specs:

  • Snapdragon 680 processor
  • 6GB RAM
  • 128GB storage
  • 6.56-inch HD+ IPS display, 90hz refresh rate
  • 13-megapixel f/1.8 main camera with PDAF, 2-megapixel f/2.4 depth sensor
  • 8-megapixel selfie camera
  • 4G, LTE
  • WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, side-mounted fingerprint scanner
  • 5000mAh battery
  • 33w fast charging
  • Android 11, ColorOS 11.1

Unlike the A74 4G, the A76 has a 6.56-inch IPS panel with a HD+ resolution and a punch-hole for the 8-megapixel selfie snapper. The rear camera setup is downgraded on the A76, where you only get a 13-megapixel main camera and 2-megapixel depth sensor.

Despite those downgrades, the A76 has a newer Snapdragon 680 processor that aims to deliver better performance and improved battery life compared to the Snapdragon 662 used on the A74 4G. The battery is the same at 5000mAh, along with 33w wired charging.

The A76 comes with Android 11-based ColorOS 11.1, where you have a RAM expansion feature that can use up to 5GB of your internal storage as RAM.

The A76 is priced at RM 899(~Php 11.1k) and is available in Malaysia. There’s no word if the A76 will be made available in the Philippines.
