The BlackBerry PlayBook is gearing up to launch in the Philippines this coming August 6. You can actually already pre-order from Globe and it even comes with a bundled BlackBerry smartphone. In anticipation of the PlayBook there are already several cases available in the market today. One that caught our eye was the OtterBox Defender Series for the BlackBerry Playbook.
Just like other Defender series, this case offers three-layer protection to keep the PlayBook safe. First you have a clear protective membrane, then a hi-impact polycarbonate shell, and finally durable silicone skin. The clip-on shield also can be used as a stand. The layers add bulk to the tablet but it’s a small price to pay to secure your investment. Also note that all the access ports and buttons can still be easily accessed with the case on.
The OtterBox Defender Series for the BlackBerry PlayBook is available in most gadget stores in malls and of course the OtterBox kiosks. I’ll just get SRP and edit this post again. From what I heard though it’s somewhere around the Php3,500 mark.
