Panasonic Toughbook CF-53 Laptop

Panasonic Toughbook CF-53 Laptop

Ever wonder how spies and scientists have laptops while they’re on adventures? This is probably how.

Panasonic launched their Toughbook CF-53, which is a hybrid between their usual fieldwork laptops and their business laptops, combining the best of both worlds. Basically, it can fall on any side from 30 inches high and you can spill water on the keyboard and it will still work. It also sports a nice LED display. Pretty good for a semi-rugged laptop.

The most basic version is available in the US at $1,599 (approx Php 69,000) with the following specs:

Panasonic Toughbook CF-53
14″ HD LED Display
Intel Sandy Bridge Core i3 Processor
Wi-Fi 802.11 a*/b/g/n
Bluetooth® v2.1 + EDR (Class 1)
2 GB RAM DDR3 1333 Mhz
5.6 lbs
6 hour battery life

It also has other optional add ons, such as the 4G LTE capability, an i5 Processor, FireWire, FingerPrint reader, backlit keyboard, CircuLumin touchscreen display (which makes the display viewable even in broad daylight). A decked out Toughbook can cost $2,499 (approx Php 110,000).

This reminds me of Natalie Portman’s gear in Thor.
