With Lunar New Year just around the corner, Huawei has officially launched its “New Year 2021 Bull Turns the World Limited Edition Protective Case” for the Huawei Mate40 Series, particularly the Mate40 and Mate40 Pro models.
The protective case comes in a red-colored body that sports golden engravings of two bulls circling around. From afar the case looks like a traditional Angpao or money envelope which is gifted on special occasions.
The case is made of polyurethane leather (PU) or artificial leather similar to generic Huawei Mate40 series cases. But unlike those generic cases that cover the entire smartphone, this case has open on the sides to not obstruct the phone’s waterfall display. The case has a 0.35mm raised structure for the camera and 0.55 raised lips on the four sides of the front to offer protection without making the phone come out too thick for comfort.
This special case is being sold for CNY 99 (PHP 735).
