PLDT Boosts Speeds To 1GBPs For Just Php 500 this 2025

PLDT has unveiled a new speed boost add-on offering that allows subscribers to boost their internet speeds to an impressive 1 Gbps to kick off 2025. The new upgrade, available for existing Home Fiber Plan subscribers, gives your internet a boost up to 1 Gbps for an additional 500 a month. Take note that the offer is only good until the end of the month, January 31, 2025.

That’s a substantial upgrade, and customers who are on Home Fiber Plans of 1699 and up can use the boosted speeds till December 31, 2025.

This move is part of PLDT’s bigger plan to beef up its fiber network and stay ahead of the curve. With more people working from home, binge-watching their favorite shows, or diving into virtual classrooms, having a reliable and fast connection isn’t just nice—it’s essential. And PLDT gets that. They’ve been expanding their fiber coverage across the Philippines, making sure more folks can tap into this kind of speed.

I am currently subcribed to a 400 mbps because in 2023, they offered doubling your speed by adding just Php 200 to my existing plan. However, since the start of the start of this year, I can only get an average of 200 mbps. How can I be convinced to shell out another Php 500 to get that 1 gbps which will later become 500 mbps.

This is a pldt scam. Imagine your already activated but your speed is the same!!!Having only 320 to 580 mbps via speedtest and 200 to 400 via chrome speedtest.
I regret activating it.

Pldt is really a scam, every week there is at least 3 times interruption for long hours. Internet speed is very poor. And the cignal cable always lost, no hd channels ever since as advertised. Planning to apply for disconnection.

I have 300Mbps. I used speedtest.net to check and i got 280Mbps average of 3tries, but when i used other speed services i only got 180mpbs max

im not convinced. i have a 400mbps subscription, but for the past months speed barely touches the 100mbps with OOKLA. its even harder reaching out to them..

I’m curious about the complaints about measured speed versus promised speed. If you measure speed using wifi, you will never get anywhere near the promised speed. You’re limited by the speed of the router. Measure using wired Ethernet.

The 1gb means nothing if device can’t receive 1gb per second. So the upgrade is really not worth it if you already have 200 Mbps. Well, it’s worth it if your a professional gamer, especially those who play First person shooting games like Counterstrike, PUBG, Call of duty. So you will have better latency.

Authenticity in after sales is what people looking. If PLDT offers too good to be true just to make u lock in for another 2-3 years again? NO THANK YOU. The government should look into this regarding this lock-in period every provider is making. It should be a win-win agreement not one sided, you know what I mean? If the provider fails to thier promise subscribers can cancel anytime. ???

Failed. Regretting this boost upgrade. Even their support tech complains about this.as per them theyre infomed and tackle a lot of rants from customers. Mine didnt reach 600mbs sad
