POCO expands aIoT offerings with Pods TWS Earbuds

 

Being focused mostly on phones for the past few years, POCO is expanding its aIoT offerings with a new pair of TWS earbuds called the POCO Pods. Being based on the Redmi Buds 4 Active, the POCO Pods come in a dominant black color with POCO’s signature yellow as accent colors.

Since it is similar to the Redmi Buds 4 Active, the POCO Pods come with 12mm drivers and an IPX4 rating that make them suitable for use when working out. They come with Bluetooth 5.3 that support Google Fast Pair for easy setup and 60ms low latency. Being entry-model TWS earbuds, the Pods only have environmental noise cancellation and only support the SBC codec.

You do get touch controls with the Pods, where you can manage calls and control music playback. As for battery life, POCO claims that the Pods can last for up to 30 hours with the battery case, with a 10-minute charge being able to provide for up to 90 minutes of music playback.

At Rs 1,199(~Php 900), they are incredibly affordable for a pair of entry-level TWS earbuds. They are available in India via Flipkart, and it remains to be seen if POCO will make them available in the Philippines as well. To date, the only aIoT product POCO sells in the Philippines is the POCO Watch.
