POCO held its first major event in Dubai for the debut of the F6 series as its latest top-end offerings for 2024. The POCO F6 Pro is the hero device, and it stands out for being the most affordable phone to have 1TB of storage in the Philippines at Php 33k.

As a successor to last year’s F5 Pro, the F6 Pro gets a major upgrade with its build: it is the first POCO phone to have an aluminum frame, and this positions the F6 Pro as a premium device. The flat sides of the aluminum complement the 6.67-inch flexible OLED display that has slim and symmetrical bezels. Like its predecessor, the F6 Pro’s display also has a 120hz refresh rate and a WQHD+ resolution. However, the F6 Pro has a higher peak brightness at 4000nits, making its display brighter. 

Also new with the F6 Pro is the global availability of a 16GB/1TB variant. This makes the F6 Pro one of the few devices available in the Philippines to have a whopping 1TB storage onboard. This also spot on with POCO’s promise of offering a 1TB storage option when we asked them about it last year. Aside from the huge storage, the F6 Pro utilizes UFS 4.0, making its read and write speeds faster than its predecessor.

Powering the F6 Pro is a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which is a very capable flagship processor despite being a generation old. It’s paired with a 5000mAh battery, and POCO brings back 120w charging to the F6 Pro at the expense of axing wireless charging. 

The F6 Pro uses a similar camera setup found on its predecessor, but utilizes a new 50-megapixel Light Fusion 800 sensor that’s physically bigger than the 64-megapixel OV64B used on the F5 Pro. The new sensor promises better general performance in most lighting conditions thanks to larger pixels. 

The price of the POCO F6 Pro in the Philippines is as follows:

-16GB/1TB – Php 32,999 (Php 30,799 early bird price)
